The Center of Consultation and Training is considered one of the prominent features of the University of Jordan’s journey, and it is one of the first centers in the Arab world to provide its services in all fields with the assistance of approximately 1,200 faculty members and experts from inside and outside the University of Jordan.

The Center of Consultation and Training is considered one of the prominent features of the University of Jordan’s journey, and it is one of the first centers in the Arab world to provide its services in all fields with the assistance of approximately 1,200 faculty members and experts from inside and outside the University of Jordan. Its establishment in 1981 came to translate the mission of this lofty scientific edifice of effectively contributing to the development of human resources at all local and regional levels, by providing training programs that take into account the rapid developments in the world of knowledge and technology in accordance with the needs of institutions and individuals of society. This contributes to raising the level of performance in work and production, providing the local, Arab and regional community with scientific knowledge, practical and technical expertise, and increasing competitiveness in the labor market, in addition to providing advisory services and studies in all fields. The center contains many teaching halls and computer laboratories equipped with the latest devices, screens, programs and equipment, with a different capacity to meet the needs of trainers and participants.

National Career Development Association (NCDA) – USA

The National Vocational Guidance Association (NVGA) was founded in 1913. In 1985 NVGA was renamed and became the National Career Development Association (NCDA). Thus NCDA is the first, longest-running and preeminent career development association in the world.

NCDA is the recognized leader in developing standards for the career development profession, for the provision of career counseling programs and services, and for the evaluation of career information materials. NCDA works with licensing and credentialing bodies to support the preparation and recognition of career counselors and career development practitioners. NCDA also sets ethical standards for the career development profession including guidelines for the provision of career services on the Internet. NCDA provides programs and services for career development professionals and for the public involved with or interested in career development, including, but not limited to, professional development activities, publications, research, general information, professional standards, advocacy, and recognition for achievement and service. NCDA provides a voice for thousands of members who deliver career services to diverse groups in a broad variety of settings and to their clients. NCDA maintains a comprehensive web site of information, resources and tools for career development professionals and the public at www.ncda.org NCDA is a founding Division of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and collaborates with ACA to jointly represent the interests of counselors in Congress and in the national legislative process. NCDA frequently is consulted by the national media about career-related issues; NCDA continuously promotes global sharing of workforce policy and practices; and NCDA supports and reports on research in the growing field of career development.

The Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission – Jordan

The Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission was established in 2019 under Article 31 of the Jordanian Constitution and based on Law No. (9) / 2019: The Technical and Vocational Skills Development Law, was prepared in line with the recommendations of the National Strategy for Human Resources Development (which established clear organizational structures for the governance of the sector to ensure the implementation of accountability in the sector).

The Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission was established in 2019 under Article 31 of the Jordanian Constitution and based on Law No. (9) / 2019: The Technical and Vocational Skills Development Law, was prepared in line with the recommendations of the National Strategy for Human Resources Development (which established clear organizational structures for the governance of the sector to ensure the implementation of accountability in the sector). TVSDC vision is “Manpower with vocational and technical experience and skills, that meet the needs of the labour market, and capable to participate in entrepreneurial projects”. TVSDC mission is Motivate the Jordanian youth to be enrolled in the TVET sector, contribute to job creation, consolidate the concept of entrepreneurship, solve the problems of poverty and unemployment, and contribute to economic growth. TVSDC provide many services including accrediting the training providers, licensing of vocational and technical training providers, quality assurance of training providers, issuing an occupational license, occupational license test, and TVET support fund.

The Jordanian Trainers Society is a voluntary, non-profit cultural association. It was established in Amman – the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the year (2009) within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture.

Article Two of the Jordanian Trainers Society’s statute stipulates that the goals and objectives of the Society are the following:

  1.  Preparing and developing standards for the training profession in the administrative, financial and technical fields.
  2. Preparing a code of ethics for the training profession in the administrative, financial and technical fields.
  3.  Providing technical services, studies and research in the field of training.
  4. Raising the efficiency, refining the skills, developing the capabilities of member trainers and developing their scientific and practical performance.
  5. Providing scientific and practical consultations in the field of training.
  6. Concluding training agreements with local and international bodies and organizations.
  7. Facilitating the exchange of scientific opinions and ideas in the field of training between public and private bodies and institutions inside and outside the Kingdom.
  8. Achieving professional communication for members of the society.
  9. Working to provide the appropriate environment for the training process by exchanging experiences, holding seminars, conferences, and workshops specifically for training activities.
  10. Preparing excellence standards in training and supervising excellence awards and presenting them to those entitled to them.
  11. Creating a database of relevant local and international centers, associations, governments and private bodies.
  12. Preparing and developing accreditation standards, training packages, and implementing qualifying courses and programs

The Arab Trainers Union is an Arab accreditation organization operating within the framework of the Council of Arab Economic Unity at the League of Arab States. It works to consolidate the training profession and accredit trainers and workers in the field of training programs.

The Union was able to confirm its advanced position in the world of training by attracting several prominent training firms, in addition to strengthening and developing relationships with clients. We take pride in this trust, based on the Union’s ability to commit to providing comprehensive services and distinguished experiences in addition to effectiveness and high quality services. These efforts have resulted in the expansion of the Federation’s client base and member companies, and more than 50 training companies and universities now work with the Federation. Few to mention: The Arab Trainers Union is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
