The Labour Market Oriented Vocational Education, Higher Education and Training (GIZ – MOVE-HET) project contracted PRAVO^® in the year 2022 on behalf of the Vocational Training Center (VTC) for the development of car maintenance curricula. Three curricula were developed including the Electric and Hybrid cars and the heavy machinery. For this development, PRAVO^® experts reviewed/modified the existing occupational standards, and curricula according to NQF methodology and testing tools; developed the occupational standards of the heavy machinery occupation (Skilled level); suggested areas of development including the DCAUM analysis of the occupation; analyzed the heavy machinery mechanic for Skilled Level using DACUM approach; developed the National Occupational Standards for the heavy machinery mechanic; developed a competency-based modular curriculum, instructional materials, and course outline; developed trainees guides – textbook in a modular format integrated with a learner-friendly structure, language and Learning tasks (practical sessions); developed trainer guides – manuals which assist the instructors to carry out their training, conducted training of the beneficiaries; and coached VTC car maintenance trainers in implementing the developed curricula.
